This massive kitchen remodel involved removing major structural walls that held up the second floor of this ultra modern residence built on the side of a steep hill in Arlington, Texas. The one black post in the middle of the picture not only holds up the whole second floor, it is the conduit for all the electric and water for most of the kitchen. This kitchen is over 50 feet long and 20 feet wide and includes state of the art appliances and cabinetry. It is not surprising that the owner, who had a larger part to do with designing this kitchen, is a nuclear physicists.
